We’ve taken MODUL out of the University and into the local bar for some beer and science exchange!

Pilar Martín Gallego was invited to present at “Ciencias del Bar”, a series of science seminars organized by students at the University of Cádiz. Pilar presented some of her past remote sensing research, as well as current work with MODUL.

This was a fantastic opportunity to share information about the project with a critical audience of students, researchers, and the wider community.

Pilar spoke about the application of remote sensing to a diverse range of environments, including coastal dunes and barrier systems.

A big thank you to the organizers of this wonderful event!

What is “Sciences at the Bar” (“Ciencias del Bar”)?

"Ciencias del Bar" is a space where students (and other audiences) are invited to engage in colloquial discussions, debates, and talks while enjoying a drink.

Their aim is multifaceted, and includes:

- raising awareness and shedding light on various socio-economic and environmental issues, fostering understanding and empathy among participants.

- disseminating knowledge through informative discussions.

- facilitating debates that provide opportunities for learning and intellectual growth.

- finding solutions that address current socio-environmental challenges.

- creating a hub for leisure and learning for university students in Puerto Real, offering not just intellectual stimulation but also relaxation and camaraderie.

If you are in the Cádiz province, join Sciences of the Bar, where Brewed Wisdom awaits!
