On February 5, 2024, we had the pleasure of bringing coastal dune sciences to the Secondary School Amor de Dios in Cádiz. Chosen from among 10 schools in Andalucía by the international committee of The Green Helmets, this school embarked on an environmental sustainability project in their local community. Their dedication paid off as they clinched victory with a compelling initiative focused on the conservation and protection of dune ecosystems in Playa El Chato (Cádiz).

With 53 enthusiastic secondary school students (aged 14-15) enrolled in the environmental project module, the school organized a workshop led by MODUL. We had a wonderful time sharing insights into dune dynamics and emphasized the critical importance of researching coastal dune environments for their preservation.

We extend our heartfelt wishes to the students of Amor de Dios School as they embark on their impactful project!
